Here are some images from our camping trip this past weekend. The place we camped at was really nice with a swim beach and hiking trails. There are also paddling trails, but we could not fit the boat on this trip. This was Willow's first camping trip outside of the camping we do at a music festival we attend each spring(a much different experience). She enjoyed everything about it.
Liam is really into dinosaurs and fossils these days, so when we were looking for a place to camp we looked for a place near Aurora where the is a fossil festival every year. We visited the fossil museum and searched through the big piles of fossil rich dirt they bring in from a local mine. There were lots of shark teeth found and some sting ray tails. We brought home a small bucket of fossil dirt the museum was selling for Liam to go through at his leisure.
It was a very nice weekend and I am reminded how much I enjoy camping. There is just something about sleeping outdoors that is so refreshing.
